Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) has conducted another round of invitations under the Express Entry system, issuing new Invitations to Apply (ITAs) for permanent residence.
In the latest draw, 264 candidates from the Provincial Nominee Program (PNP) received ITAs. To qualify for this selection round, candidates were required to meet the following criteria:
- A minimum Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score of 710; and
- Have created their Express Entry profile before 6:02 p.m. UTC on August 7, 2025.

This latest invitation round represents the fifth PNP-specific draw and the eleventh Express Entry draw of 2026 and it is also the first draw conducted in March.
Provincial nominees continue to receive priority
Candidates who obtain a provincial nomination receive a significant advantage in the Express Entry system. A nomination from a province adds 600 additional CRS points, which almost guarantees that a candidate will receive an ITA in a subsequent draw.
So far in 2026, IRCC has largely prioritized candidates who are already living and working in Canada. This includes individuals with provincial nominations and Canadian work experience. PNP draws have been the most frequent this year.
