Canada Announces Largest Category-Based Express Entry Draw in History

Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) has conducted another major Express Entry draw, issuing 8,500 Invitations to Apply (ITAs) to candidates with French-language proficiency. This is one of the largest category-based draws of 2026 so far and highlights Canada’s strong focus on francophone immigration.

To qualify for this draw, candidates were required to have a minimum Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score of 400. In addition, applicants must have created their Express Entry profile before 11:11 a.m. (UTC) on February 3, 2026.
