IRCC invited 700 candidates in the latest all program Express Entry draw in which a minimum CRS score of 511 was required.
Express Entry is one of the prominent pathways and the Fastest Way to Immigrate to Canada from India. This all-program draw was a surprise draw which means it was not pre-decided. Additionally, new selection categories were announced for Express Entry candidates. IRCC is also expected to invite candidates with work experience in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) occupations in the first-ever category-based selection Express Entry draw.
The Minimum Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score requirement for STEM and healthcare candidates is yet to be revealed. Last week on June 28, the first-ever Express-Entry category-based draw was held by IRCC in which 500 healthcare workers with a minimum CRS score of 476 were invited. This week, STEM professions are to be invited to a category-based Express Entry round as announced by IRCC.
Among all the all program draws of 2023, the current CRS score of 511 is the highest cut-off score. It can be considered as a Good CRS Score Required for Canada PR in 2023. In the last all-program draw of June 27, there were 4,300 candidates invited with a minimum CRS score of 486, this cut-off score is much higher than that.
Category–Based Draws
Candidates within specific occupational fields or those who have other in-demand attributes are being targeted by the new type of Express Entry draw known as category-based selection draw.
Transport, healthcare, agriculture and agri-food, trades such as carpenters, plumbers, and contractors, STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) professions, and strong French-language proficiency are the six new categories for which candidates are eligible.
Category-based selection draws were made possible due to the changes made to the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act in June 2022. Based on the specific attribute that aligns with the economic priorities of Canada, or French language proficiency, economic immigrants are invited by the immigration minister.
