Lowest PNP CRS Score This Year

The CRS cut-off of 708 is the lowest score recorded in a Provincial Nominee Program draw in 2026. It is also the lowest PNP cut-off since November 2025, indicating a positive trend for candidates who have received a provincial nomination.

Although PNP candidates automatically receive an additional 600 CRS points, a lower overall cut-off suggests improved opportunities for eligible applicants.

Express Entry Draw Trends in 2026

So far in 2026, IRCC has largely focused on candidates already living and working in Canada.

Most invitations have been issued through:

  • Provincial Nominee Program (PNP)
  • Canadian Experience Class (CEC)
  • French-language proficiency category
  • Healthcare and Social Services
  • Physicians with Canadian work experience
  • Trades occupations
  • Senior Managers with Canadian work experience

This reflects Canada’s continued focus on addressing labour shortages while supporting candidates with Canadian work experience and provincial nominations.

More Than 89,000 Invitations Issued This Year

As of July 2026, IRCC has conducted 35 Express Entry draws, issuing a total of 89,601 Invitations to Apply (ITAs).

The distribution of invitations includes:

  • Canadian Experience Class (CEC): 41,250 ITAs
  • French-language proficiency: 30,500 ITAs
  • Provincial Nominee Program: 5,939 ITAs
  • Healthcare and Social Services: 8,000 ITAs
  • Trades: 3,000 ITAs
  • Physicians with Canadian work experience: 662 ITAs
  • Senior Managers with Canadian work experience: 250 ITAs
