Canada Holds Second Consecutive Express Entry PNP Draw in May 2026

Canada has conducted another Provincial Nominee Program (PNP) draw under the Express Entry system, marking the second consecutive PNP-focused selection round this month.

On May 25, 2026, Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) issued 334 Invitations to Apply (ITAs) to eligible candidates.

To qualify for this draw, candidates were required to have:

  • A minimum Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score of 805
  • An Express Entry profile created before 6:16 p.m. UTC on October 16, 2025

The latest draw follows the previous PNP draw held on May 11, where 380 candidates received invitations with a CRS cut-off score of 798.

Express Entry draws in 2026 have mainly focused on candidates already connected to Canada’s labour market, especially those with provincial nominations, Canadian work experience, and French-language proficiency.

So far in 2026, IRCC has conducted:

  • 11 Provincial Nominee Program draws
  • 8 Canadian Experience Class draws
  • 5 French-language proficiency draws

Canada has issued a total of 72,341 ITAs through Express Entry this year. Out of these:

  • 34,250 invitations were issued under the Canadian Experience Class
  • 26,000 invitations went to French-speaking candidates
  • 4,450 invitations were issued through PNP draws

The latest Express Entry draw reflects Canada’s continued focus on attracting skilled immigrants who can support provincial labour market needs and economic growth.
