Canada Invites 4,000 Healthcare and Social Services Professionals Through Express Entry Draw

Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) has conducted another category-based Express Entry draw, issuing 4,000 Invitations to Apply (ITAs) to eligible candidates working in Healthcare and Social Services occupations.

The latest draw was held on June 25, 2026, and candidates required a minimum Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score of 475 to receive an invitation. Additionally, applicants needed to have created their Express Entry profile before 12:14 p.m. UTC on May 21, 2026, to qualify under the tie-breaking rule.

Second Healthcare Category Draw of 2026

This marks the second Healthcare and Social Services category-based Express Entry draw conducted in 2026. Compared to the first healthcare draw held in February, the CRS cut-off has increased from 467 to 475, indicating stronger competition among candidates in this category.

The June 25 draw is also the 34th Express Entry draw conducted by IRCC this year.

Express Entry Trends in 2026

Throughout 2026, IRCC has continued prioritizing candidates with Canadian work experience and provincial nominations while also conducting category-based draws for occupations facing labour shortages.

So far this year, the distribution of Express Entry draws includes:

  • Provincial Nominee Program (PNP): 12 draws
  • Canadian Experience Class (CEC): 10 draws
  • French-language proficiency: 6 draws
  • Healthcare and Social Services: 2 draws
  • Physicians with Canadian Work Experience: 2 draws
  • Senior Managers with Canadian Work Experience: 1 draw
  • Trades: 1 draw

More Than 89,000 Invitations Issued in 2026

As of June 25, 2026, IRCC has issued a total of 89,067 Invitations to Apply (ITAs) through the Express Entry system.

The invitations have been distributed as follows:

  • Canadian Experience Class (CEC): 41,250
  • French-language proficiency: 30,500
  • Healthcare and Social Services: 8,000
  • Provincial Nominee Program (PNP): 5,405
  • Trades: 3,000
  • Physicians with Canadian Work Experience: 662
