IRCC Conducts Second Canadian Experience Class Draw Within Two Weeks

Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) has once again conducted an Express Entry draw, inviting 1,000 candidates under the Canadian Experience Class (CEC) category.

To qualify for this latest round, candidates required a minimum Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score of 533 and needed to have created their Express Entry profile before 3:39 a.m. (UTC) on October 17.

This draw marks the second Express Entry draw in November, following a Provincial Nominee Program (PNP) draw on November 10, a French language proficiency draw on October 29, and another CEC draw on October 28.

So far this year, IRCC has issued a total of 82,223 Invitations to Apply (ITAs) through the Express Entry system.

Focus of Express Entry Draws in 2025

Throughout the year, most Express Entry draws have targeted Provincial Nominee Program candidates, while others focused on CEC applicants, French-speaking candidates, and priority occupation categories such as healthcare, education, and trades.

With these numbers, CEC and French-language category draws remain the strongest contributors to the total ITAs issued this year, reflecting Canada’s continuous effort to attract skilled workers with prior Canadian experience and strong French-language abilities.

IRCC is expected to continue holding targeted draws in the coming weeks, giving more candidates the opportunity to apply for permanent residency through Canada’s Express Entry system.
