The Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program (MPNP) conducted its first immigration draw of the year on January 15, inviting skilled workers through its Skilled Worker Stream.
In this draw, Manitoba focused on candidates who had received a direct invitation from the province under a strategic recruitment initiative. Only applicants who declared this invitation correctly in their Expression of Interest (EOI) profiles were considered.
A total of 55 Letters of Advice to Apply (LAAs) were issued in this round. Invitations were shared across both Skilled Worker pathways:
The largest share of invitations, around 38% went to candidates invited under the Employer Services recruitment initiative, highlighting Manitoba’s strong focus on employer-led hiring.
Out of the total invitations issued in EOI Draw #262, 10 candidates also held valid Express Entry profiles and job seeker validation codes.
Compared to Manitoba’s first draw of last year, which invited 197 candidates in early January, this draw reflects a more selective and targeted approach by the province at the start of the year.
