Manitoba continues to strengthen its workforce by inviting skilled immigration candidates through its Provincial Nominee Program (MPNP). On June 4, 2026, the province conducted its first draw of June and issued 104 Letters of Advice to Apply (LAAs) to eligible candidates under the Skilled Worker Stream.
The latest invitation round targeted foreign nationals who had previously received a direct invitation from the Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program (MPNP) through various strategic recruitment initiatives.
Manitoba PNP Draw Highlights – June 4, 2026
A total of 104 LAAs were issued through the following Skilled Worker pathways:
- Skilled Worker in Manitoba
- Skilled Worker Overseas
To be considered in this draw, candidates needed to indicate in their Expression of Interest (EOI) profile that they had received an invitation through a recognized MPNP strategic recruitment initiative or through the former Temporary Public Policy to Facilitate Work Permits for Prospective Provincial Nominee Program Candidates (TPP).
Distribution of Invitations by Recruitment Initiative
| Strategic Recruitment Initiative | LAAs Issued |
| Employer Services | 40 |
| Temporary Public Policy (TPP) | 39 |
| Francophone Community | 17 |
| Ethnocultural Communities | 6 |
| Regional Communities | 2 |
| Total | 104 |
The largest number of invitations were issued through the Employer Services Initiative, accounting for approximately 38.5% of all invitations, followed closely by candidates selected through the former TPP pathway.
Express Entry Candidates Also Invited
Among the 104 invitations issued, 15 candidates had a valid Express Entry profile number and job seeker validation code, giving them the opportunity to pursue enhanced provincial nomination pathways that may lead to faster permanent residence processing.
Why Some Eligible Candidates May Not Have Received an Invitation
Manitoba officials noted that certain candidates who appeared to meet the draw requirements may not have received an LAA due to issues such as:
- Missing or invalid language test identification numbers;
- Expired language test results;
- Invalid or missing strategic recruitment invitation numbers in their EOI profiles.
The province also clarified that some TPP work permit holders with Manitoba Support Letters approved after June 30, 2025, may receive invitations in future draws as processing continues in stages.
Manitoba Issues More Than 1,700 Invitations in 2026
With this latest draw, Manitoba has now issued 1,709 LAAs through the Skilled Worker Stream in 2026, demonstrating the province’s ongoing commitment to attracting skilled workers to support economic growth and labour market needs.
