Alberta Holds Five Immigration Draws, Inviting Skilled Candidates from Diverse Sectors

The Alberta Advantage Immigration Program (AAIP) held five draws between October 8 to October 21, 2025. In these draws, AAIP gave out a total of 202 Invitations to Apply or ITAs for provincial nomination.  

Overview of the Draws (October 8- October 21, 2025):

The province recently published information about its latest series of provincial immigration draws that took place between October 8 to October 21, 2025. During these draws Alberta invited candidates in tech, aviation, agriculture and healthcare occupations.

The most recent draw on October 21, 2025 saw the largest number of candidates receiving invitations through the Alberta Express Entry Stream – Accelerated Tech Pathway. 

So far this year, the province has held:

  • 8 draws through the Alberta Express Entry Stream – Accelerated Tech Pathway.
  • 5 draws through the Alberta Express Entry Stream – Priority Sectors (Aviation) pathway.
  • 6 draws through the Alberta Express Entry Stream – Priority Sectors (Agriculture) pathway.
  • 10 draws through the Dedicated Health Care Pathway (non-Express Entry).
  • 10 draws through the Dedicated Health Care Pathway (Express Entry).

These draws align with Alberta Priority Sectors for 2025, released earlier this year. For the Alberta Express Entry Stream, priority sectors include construction, agriculture, aviation, and healthcare.

Alberta has stated that it will be considering ITAs based on the above mentioned priority sectors in addition to three pathways within the Alberta Express Entry Stream, which are as follows:

  • Dedicated Healthcare Pathway;
  • Accelerated Tech Pathway; and
  • Law Enforcement Pathway.

The AAIP has conducted a total of 69 draws in 2025 till October 21, 2025. 

Figures for Provincial Nomination:

Initially AAIP was allotted  4,875 nomination slots for the year 2025. But in September 2025, an additional  1,528 nomination slots were awarded to AAIP thereby bringing the total to 6,403 in 2025.

On October 21, 2025 out of 6,403, a total of 4,689 nominations were issued leaving a quota of 1,714 nomination slots remaining for the rest of the year.
