Manitoba Issues 766 Invitations for Provincial Nomination to Workers in Transportation, Utilities and Manufacturing

Of the 766 candidates who received an LAA, 94 had declared a valid Express Entry profile and job seeker validation code in their EOI profile.

Skilled Worker in Manitoba Receives 696 Invitations

The largest portion of the draw targeted candidates under the Skilled Worker in Manitoba pathway.

The MPNP issued 696 invitations through three selection categories:

1. Employment in a Qualifying NOC Code

Manitoba targeted candidates who were living in the province and had declared that they were currently working in one of seven occupations considered eligible under this selection.

The occupations included:

• Aerospace Engineers (NOC 21390)
• Air Pilots, Flight Engineers and Flying Instructors (NOC 72600)
• Aircraft Assemblers and Aircraft Assembly Inspectors (NOC 93200)
• Aircraft Instrument, Electrical and Avionics Mechanics, Technicians and Inspectors (NOC 22313)
• Aircraft Mechanics and Aircraft Inspectors (NOC 72404)
• Facility Operation and Maintenance Managers (NOC 70012)
• General Practitioners and Family Physicians (NOC 31102)

A total of 74 LAAs were issued under this category.

2. Manufacturing and Utilities Occupations

The MPNP issued the largest number of invitations to candidates employed in manufacturing and utilities occupations.

A total of 605 LAAs were issued in this category, with a minimum EOI score of 632.

Candidates were required to be working in Manitoba in occupations covered under Broad Occupational Category 9 of Canada’s NOC system.

This occupational category includes a range of roles in manufacturing, processing and utilities, including management, supervisory, production and labour positions.

The major occupational groups covered include:

• Central control and process operators and aircraft assembly assemblers and inspectors;
• Labourers in processing, manufacturing and utilities;
• Machine operators, assemblers and inspectors in processing, manufacturing and printing;
• Middle management occupations in manufacturing and utilities; and
• Processing, manufacturing and utilities supervisors, operators and controllers.

The selection demonstrates Manitoba’s continued focus on workers who are already contributing to key sectors of the provincial economy.

3. Francophone Candidates

Manitoba also invited 17 French-speaking candidates through its Francophone selection category.

To qualify for consideration, candidates needed to declare in their EOI profile that French was their language of communication with Manitoba and have valid French-language test results.

Skilled Worker Stream Issues 70 Invitations
