British Columbia has conducted another Entrepreneur Immigration (EI) draw under the British Columbia Provincial Nominee Program (BCPNP), inviting eligible business professionals interested in establishing or expanding businesses in the province.
The latest selection round was held on June 30, 2026, marking the seventh entrepreneur-focused draw conducted by British Columbia this year.
The province continues to attract experienced entrepreneurs who can contribute to local economic development by launching new businesses or purchasing and growing existing enterprises.
June 30 BCPNP Entrepreneur Draw Results
Invitations were issued through both of British Columbia’s Entrepreneur Immigration pathways.
| Entrepreneur Stream | Minimum Score | Invitations Issued |
| Base Stream | 118 | 14 |
| Regional Stream | 113 | Fewer than 5 |
The Base Stream accounted for the majority of invitations, while the Regional Stream issued a limited number of invitations to entrepreneurs planning to establish businesses in smaller communities outside the Metro Vancouver Regional District.
This was also British Columbia’s second Entrepreneur Immigration draw in June, differing from its earlier pattern of conducting just one entrepreneur draw each month during 2026.
British Columbia’s Entrepreneur Immigration Activity in 2026
So far in 2026, British Columbia has held 12 Entrepreneur Immigration draws, including:
- 7 draws under the Base Stream
- 5 draws under the Regional Stream
Together, these invitation rounds have resulted in at least 78 Invitations to Apply (ITAs) for provincial nomination.
The June 30 draw also produced one of the year’s highest cutoff scores for the Base Stream, while the Regional Stream recorded its lowest score of 2026, excluding the February selection round.
Understanding British Columbia’s Entrepreneur Immigration Streams
British Columbia offers two pathways for entrepreneurs seeking Canadian permanent residence through business investment.
Base Stream
The Base Stream is designed for experienced entrepreneurs who wish to either establish a new business or purchase and expand an existing business anywhere in British Columbia.
Key eligibility requirements include:
- Minimum personal net worth of CAD 600,000
- Minimum investment of CAD 200,000
- At least 31.33% business ownership
- Minimum three years of business owner-manager experience within the past ten years
- Post-secondary education (or equivalent business ownership experience)
- Minimum language proficiency of CLB 4
Regional Stream
The Regional Stream targets entrepreneurs willing to invest in smaller communities outside Metro Vancouver.
Its main requirements include:
- Minimum personal net worth of CAD 300,000
- Minimum investment of CAD 100,000
- At least 51% business ownership
- Minimum three years of business owner-manager experience within the past five years
- Community referral before applying
- Mandatory exploratory visit to the selected community
- Minimum language proficiency of CLB
Compared to the Base Stream, the Regional Stream has lower investment and net worth requirements but requires applicants to receive support from a participating community before they can move forward.
How Entrepreneurs Can Obtain Canadian Permanent Residence
Both Entrepreneur Immigration pathways follow a similar process that eventually leads to Canadian permanent residence.
Applicants generally need to:
- Develop a viable business proposal.
- Register under the appropriate BCPNP Entrepreneur stream.
- Receive a competitive registration score.
- Obtain an Invitation to Apply (ITA) in a future draw.
- Submit a complete provincial nomination application within the required timeframe.
- Apply for a Canadian work permit after provincial approval.
- Establish and actively operate the approved business in British Columbia.
- Meet all program conditions and receive a provincial nomination.
- Apply to the federal government for Canadian permanent residence.
For Regional Stream applicants, two additional steps are required before registration: selecting a participating community and completing an exploratory visit to secure a community referral.
Growing Opportunities for Business Immigration to Canada
British Columbia continues to use its Entrepreneur Immigration Program to attract experienced business owners and investors who can support economic growth, create jobs, and strengthen local communities.
With regular entrepreneur-focused invitation rounds throughout 2026, the province remains one of Canada’s leading destinations for individuals looking to build a business while working toward permanent residence.
