
British Columbia has conducted another selection round under its Entrepreneur Immigration (EI) Program, inviting business candidates to apply for provincial nomination through both the Base and Regional streams.
The invitations were issued to qualified entrepreneurs interested in launching a new business or purchasing and expanding an existing business in the province.
BC PNP Entrepreneur Draw – March 10, 2026
On March 10, 2026, the BC Provincial Nominee Program (BC PNP) issued invitations through two streams of the Entrepreneur Immigration program.

So far in 2026, British Columbia has conducted five entrepreneur draws, issuing at least 29 Invitations to Apply (ITAs) to business candidates.
In addition to these entrepreneur draws, the province has also held two Skills Immigration (SI) draws on February 4 and February 11, issuing a total of 889 invitations. Similar to 2025, most invitations in 2026 have been issued through the Skills Immigration category.
Who Can Apply Under the Entrepreneur Streams?
The Entrepreneur Immigration Base stream is designed for experienced entrepreneurs who want to start a business or buy an existing business anywhere in British Columbia. This stream does not require a community referral but has higher financial requirements.
Key requirements include:
- Minimum net worth of $600,000
- Minimum investment of $200,000
The Entrepreneur Immigration Regional stream targets entrepreneurs who want to start a new business in smaller communities outside the Metro Vancouver Regional District.
This stream has lower financial requirements but requires support from a participating community.
Key requirements include:
- Minimum net worth of $300,000
- Minimum investment of $100,000
- Community referral and exploratory visit
Typical Application Process
Entrepreneurs applying through the BC PNP generally follow these steps:
- Register in the BC PNP Entrepreneur Immigration system and receive a score.
- Receive an Invitation to Apply (ITA) if selected in a draw.
- Submit a complete application and obtain a work permit if approved.
- Establish and operate the business in British Columbia.
- Receive a provincial nomination for permanent residence if all program conditions are met.
Once nominated, candidates can apply for Canadian permanent residence through Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC).
