The Alberta Advantage Immigration Program (AAIP) conducted six provincial immigration draws between February 6 and February 19, 2026, issuing a total of 441 invitations across multiple immigration pathways.

The draws targeted candidates under:

  • Rural Renewal Stream
  • Alberta Express Entry – Accelerated Tech Pathway
  • Alberta Express Entry – Law Enforcement Pathway
  • Alberta Express Entry – Priority Sectors (Construction, Manufacturing, Agriculture)

Key Highlights:

  • The February 12 draw marked the first manufacturing-focused selection since the sector was added as a 2026 priority.
  • The February 10 Rural Renewal draw (212 invitations) was the largest of the six.
  • This was also the first Rural Renewal draw after AAIP tightened eligibility rules effective January 1, requiring in-Canada applicants to hold valid work permits and limiting community endorsements.
