The Alberta Advantage Immigration Program (AAIP) held four provincial draws during the final two weeks of October, inviting more than 1,100 candidates across multiple streams and specialized pathways.

Breakdown of Streams
The Alberta Opportunity Stream accounted for most invitations in this round, with 900 candidates selected. This stream targets temporary foreign workers who are employed full-time in Alberta and hold a valid job offer from an eligible Alberta employer.
The Dedicated Health Care Pathway focuses on qualified professionals who have job offers in eligible health-related occupations. It aims to address critical shortages within Alberta’s healthcare system.
The Alberta Express Entry Stream – Law Enforcement Pathway is designed for applicants with job offers from police services that are members of the Alberta Association of Chiefs of Police. Introduced last year, this initiative helps meet recruitment needs in the law enforcement sector.
Meanwhile, the Alberta Express Entry Stream – Priority Sectors (Construction) pathway targets professionals in construction-related occupations who have listed an eligible construction occupation as their primary occupation in their Express Entry profile and may also hold an Alberta job offer.
Provincial Nomination Updates
At the start of the year, Alberta received 4,875 nomination slots from the federal government. In September, this allocation was increased to 6,603, allowing the province to welcome more skilled workers through various AAIP streams.
As of the latest update, Alberta has issued 5,137 nominations, leaving 1,466 nomination spaces still available.
